Geleneksel Yozgat evlerinde yaşam ve anlam:evin sözlü tarihi

Abstract

Bu yüksek lisans tezinde, eski Yozgat evleri örneği üzerinde durularak; bu evlerin mekansal örgütlenmesini etkileyen faktörlerin incelenmesi, kültürün tanımlanması ayrıcalıklı yönlerinin irdelenmesi, kültürel değer ve normların fiziksel çevreye yansımalarının saptanması, kültürdeki mevcut etkinlikler, davranışlar ve davranış konumlarının geleneksel kültürel kodlar çerçevesinde incelenmesi bu faktörler hala geçerliliğini koruyorsa gelecekte tasarlanması düşünülen konutlarda bu değer ve normların fiziksel karşılıkları ve çözümlerinin aranması bu tezin konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Ancak, bu amaçlarla yola çıkan benzeri tezlerden farklı olarak gramer incelemesi ve anlamlandırma yerine bu amaca farklı bir yolla ulaşılmak istenmektedir. Ülkelerin başat tarihleri arşivlerde saklanmış belgeler üzerinden yapılır. Yaşayan konutlar kendileri belgedir ama yorum siyah-beyaz çizimler ve fotoğraflar üzerinden yapıldığı sürece anlam düzleminde çok şeyin atlanmış olabileceği açıktır. Tam da bu nedenle bu tez sözlü tarih yöntemini esas almıştır. Kayda geçmemiş, duyulmamış sesler üzerinden yeniden bir tarihsel okuma olma özelliği taşımaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışmanın birinci bölümü olan giriş bölümünde; çalışmanın konu alanı ve kapsamı tanımlanmış, kültür mekan ilişkisi, Yozgat'ın tarihçesi ve eski Yozgat evlerinin araştırılmasında öncellikle kullanılan sözlü tarih yöntemi, yararları ve yönteme karşı yapılan eleştirilere yer verilmiş, ikinci bölümde; konak sahipleriyle yapılan röpörtajlar değerlendirilmiş, rölöve taslaklarından restitüsyonların çıkarılması yoluyla mekan sentaksı ve diğer fiziksel öğeler tespit edilerek konut etkinliklerinin konumları, davranışın ortaya konma biçimleri, sözel tarihle birlikte anlamlandırma süreci içinde ele alınarak üçüncü bölümde açıklanmıştır. Dördüncü bölümde, tez kapsamı içindeki konunun özü tartışılmış, beşinci bölümde bulgular yönünde ortaya çıkan sonuçlar açıklanmış ve bu çalışma doğrultusunda yapılacak yeni çalışmalar için öneriler geliştirilmiştir.

In this postgraduate thesis, by being focused on the samples of old Yozgat houses, analysis of the factors affecting the spatial organization of these houses, identification of the culture, study of its favourable sides, detection of reflections of cultural norms and values to physical environment, study of existing activities, behaviours in the culture and behaviour situations, if these factors still survive, search of these values and norms solutions and physical responses for houses thought to be designed in future comprise the subject of this thesis Nevertheless, this aim is wanted to be reached by a different way instead of grammar analysis and explanation as different from similar theses starting out with these aims. Significant, dominant histories of countries are made upon stored documents in the archives. Living houses are documents themselves, however it is clear that many things and points can be skipped over meaning plane as long as interpretation and explanation are made on the basis of black and white drawing and photos. Consequencely, this thesis bases on oral history method. It has characteristics of historical rereading via unregistered, unheard vioces. In accordance with this purpose, in the introduction part (first part) of the study, there are the definition of the subject area and scope, the relationship between culture and location, history of Yozgat and oral history method primarily used for the research of old Yozgat houses, its advantages and complaints being against the method; in the second part, interviews made with townhouse owner have been evaluated, the locations of house operations, the ways of behaviour's presentation and oral history have been discussed in the process of explanation by being ascertained space syntax by removing restitution from building survey drafts and other physical elements; in the third part, these have been explained. In the fourth part, the heart of the subject in the scope of the thesis have been discussed; in the fifth part, the results emerging in the direction of findings have been demonstrated and proposals have been brought forward for new studies to be done in line with this study.
